David Blaine breaks world record

David Blaine set a new world record for holding his breath. By doing it in 17 minutes and 4 seconds, he beat the previous record of 16 minutes and 32 seconds.
This dude is wild! I am petrified after holding my breath for a minute in the swimming pool.

Of course it was broadcast live on”The Oprah Winfrey Show”. She owns exclusive rights to the world! The studio audience cheered as divers pulled the 35-year-old magician from a water-filled sphere.
Blaine looked relaxed afterward and said the record was “a lifelong dream.”
Before he entered the sphere, Blaine inhaled pure oxygen through a mask to saturate his blood with oxygen and flush out carbon dioxide.

Earlier in the show, Winfrey noted that her boyfriend, Stedman Graham, was making a rare appearance in the audience because he’s such a fan of Blaine’s work.

Truck Nutz!…huh?

Ok, who’s the genius that came up with this idea? And who would want this ornament hanging from their car? Apparently the Floridians do and Sen. Carey Baker is offended.
He is sponsoring an amendment that would allow police to give drivers a $60 ticket if they had the object hanging from a vehicle. The amendment was added to a bill Thursday after an awkward discussion in which the Senate tried to debate the issue without being too graphic - with several schoolchildren watching from the galleries.
