New York Fashion Week: Abaete

Designer Laura Poretzky says the inspiration for her fall Abaete collection came from the Middle Ages,
Grecian draping and the work of Madame Gres. Some designs had exposed side zippers with leather accents,
sable fur trim and floral pewter hardware. Poretzky also gave us a preview of her eighth collection for Payless, which included the “Ysabel”, a satin bootie, the silkcrepe “Esa” pump, the “Nell” peep-toe pump, the “Byzantine” hard clutch and “Bryce” studded briefcase, all available at the store at the end of August.
